Our independence has allowed us to work with a variety of customers, including the UK MOD and we continue to work with government bodies along with many commercial companies.
The bespoke web solutions that we develop at BMT Defence Services use powerful data visualisations and intuitive user interfaces to improve efficiency and reduce cost across your business. By simplifying data capture and reporting functions, our applications are accessible by your full user base without the need for user licenses. The web systems we build are tailored to your requirement, future-proofing your business against process and policy changes, whilst accommodating an end-to-end service, which includes requirements capture, hosting, support and training services. Our extensive defence domain experience combined with our expertise in designing, hosting and supporting web systems ranges from niche engineering tools used to solve complex engineering problems through to secure, large-scale enterprise systems for risk management and safety performance.
BMT’s Software Solution division has a team of experts who will work alongside your project stakeholders to provide mobile and tablet-based software solutions. With availability and agility at the core of our app development, our bespoke mobile and tablet systems enable:
- Total access to your information, whenever and wherever you need it.
- Automatic access to captured information for other users via a single system, reducing the effort, cost, time and error of data capture.
- Enhancement of existing systems in use within your business to ensure the smooth implementation of new tools.
- Simple and intuitive user interfaces that require little or no training to use.
- Automatic prompting and display of useful information based on location to enable effective, informed and timely decisions.
Supporting iOS (iPad/iPhone), Android and Windows Mobile devices, our apps have been deployed on ruggedised devices and are in use within potentially volatile and sensitive environments, such as weapons compartments and fuel depots. Our apps have been used for a wide variety of activities such as fire safety, escape and evacuation surveys, safety audits and GPS-tagged information activities to name a few.
Through 3D visualisation and immersive technologies, BMT can provide synthetic training environments ahead of real world situations without the added cost or risk that comes with placing personnel in the field. Our expert 3D modellers, animators, human factors experts and simulation developers provide a rapid development service using the Unity 3D engine to enable you to visualise your environments quickly. By using gestural interaction systems like Microsoft® Kinect or other 3D motion sensors, combined with the Oculus Rift VR® head mount displays, we have networked simulation experiences for new platform designs such as BMT’s Fleet Tanker and QEC Aircraft Carrier. All of BMT’s simulation outputs are based on open standards, protocols and architectures to guarantee full interoperability with other systems.
